On Prayer and Productivity

 I was reading scripture one time and I happened upon that verse that said...


"Prove me therefore"


I stopped and thoroughly thought about it...

"Wait, Lord...you actually want us to prove that your word works??" That's quite interesting.. "

Not too far off, I came upon another scripture that said...

"Come let us reason together.."



Almost let out a big Hallelujah shout...

😂


Like 

"wait...Big G! We should reason together? Like bring my strong points and questions and have us hash it out? Really??? Wawu!!"

The Holy Spirit reminded me of Jesus at age 12 reasoning with the scribes and Pharisees at the Temple and the Berean Christians who were applauded for their diligence in searching to see that what Paul taught them was true...



He also reminded me of the verse that says..

"Test all Spirits"


"All is All", He said...

"I'm a Spirit. I'm included in that..so go ahead and prove me"


Oh boy!!

Prove. Test. Facts. Data.

Those are some of my favourite words

The convictions I've built since then have just been amazing..


I put prayer to the test. I actually wanted to know the effect it had on my productivity.. I'm obsessed about productivity...

So I decided to do simple A/B testing.

2 weeks, I didn't pray.

2 weeks after, I did...


Omo the results were too profound


Highlighted some metrics that were quantifiable, measurable, and that I could easily obtain feedback on...like speed of task completion, quality of work, number of tasks completed, hours spent in "flow state", and a couple of others...


After a month, I tabulated the data from the control and the experiment time frames

My productivity actually increased by a whooping 78% 


The difference even extended into areas I couldn't measure... I was calmer under pressure, quick to proffer ideal solutions to problems, more inclined to laugh in the midst of stress, I felt happier, my intuition was more accurate and my EQ actually increased, evidenced by a visible impact in how I led my people...amidst other things


I actually ran this like 3-4 times and every time verifiable results were in the 75-82% range...


Bruuuhhh!!

So if you hear me talk about prayer a lot, it's not just what I've heard...

It's what I've seen and my hands have handled 😂

God is not afraid of your questions or doubts..

Go to Him and ask away!

Just God

A situation can arise that even your friends and family (both nuclear and extended) will desert you... Everyone will think the absolute worst about you....even yourself.. God is the only One who will refuse to give up on you.. He will extend His Hands and embrace you...and He will help you.. As long as you are joined to the living, He will keep trying to help you... The most reliable friend any man can ever have.... This is why Moses, David, Peter and the Apostles... When they truly caught a hold of Him...they refused to let go.. They could let go of anything and everything else except God.. Because really, anything and everything and anyone and everyone else has a melting point where they just have to let you go....except God..  God will never let you go.. He will stick with you until your dying breath....   And if you trust Him with your life...when you open your eyes on the other side of eternity.. He will be there with you still... I know nothing or no one else...

The First Born Principle.

 Pastor Poju said "As first born, you must bear on your back the scars from your siblings and family members" This is so true.. And it isn't limited to just biological first horns..
